MY JOURNEY STARTED HERE

I have always created albums and books of photographs of my and my family’s lives. So, having a camera at hand is nothing new to me. Then in 2019 I was accepted into the Crocker-Kingsley Exhibition. To be included with such talented and accomplished artists felt like a turning point for me. It was then that I started to think seriously about what I was doing with my photography. It was also at this point I started proudly referring to myself as an artist.

This image was my entry into the Crocker-Kingsley Exhibition and is called “Windows”.

WHAT I LEARNED ALONG THE WAY

Photographer lying on sandy beach, capturing a marine iguana on rocks, with green foliage in the background.

My artist path is short compared to many of the artists I know. I learn so much as I walk along it Mostly, I have learned that there is so much more to learn.

I think that is the nature of an artistic path. And that is the part that is so much fun for me. Discovering new ways to see. Seeing something new.

WHY I DO WHAT I DO NOW

A photographer with a long zoom lens camera taking photos in a desert landscape with a large mountain in the background under a cloudy sky.

I have always had a passion for travel and photography. Since retiring from my psychotherapy private practice in 2022 that passion has grown into a new career. I guess I don’t believe in retirement!

I do what I do now, travel and photography, because I love it and it makes my brain and my soul happy. It’s that' simple.
