Welcome to the Wild
Nothing compares to the surprises that await you on safari. From a side glance from a gentle giant on the plains of Amboseli in Kenya to a a questioning stare from a silver back gorilla high up in the forests of Rwanda.
Years of safari travel have given me an intimate view of Africa's wildlife — captured not just as documentation, but as art.
If I had to choose only one trip in the world, it would be to go on safari in Africa. What is it about an African safari that draws me in so completely? There are so many amazing places that I have been fortunate to explore in the world but Africa is my favorite.
So, what is it that is so captivating? I have thought a lot about that question. I think the answer is the adventure, the discovery of something amazing with every mile traveled in the Land Cruiser. Mother Nature unfolds before you and surprises you and I watch in wonder.
I remember my first safari.
We were flying over Kenya’s Masai Mara in the our small prop plane. I looked out my window as we approached the dirt runway and saw a zebra looking up at me.
I was completely captured in that instant.
Always
After climbing out of the bush plane in northern Kenya,
I am already thinking about when I can return.
